The Shy Camera
Stuttgart/Cologne/Madrid, 2007/2013
A surveillance camera is attached to the ceiling. Once visitors come close to the camera, it rotates in order to avoid the audience. Once the camera is surrounded by people and during its rotation the video transmission is interrupted.
The installation has been been presented first in 2007 and was set up first for the exhibition Vergüenza, curated by Ana Ara at La Casa Encendida, Madrid, (24.5.-8.9.2013).
In 2014 it has been shown at European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück and in "Unter Verdacht" at Goethe Institut Paris.
