In traditional narration a banquet either leads to the outbreak of heavy family disagreements or it ends up in an orgiastic excess. The ‘Falling cutlery-Construction’ refers to both by creating a joyful bacchanal of demolition.
A celebratory table is set up in the centre of a big room. The ‘Falling cutlery-Construction’ is installed above of it. It grabs the cutlery by using many little magnets. It lifts the cutlery about half a metre and drops it down. Little by little the falling cutlery shatters all the crockery and creates a sound, which changes with increasing density of broken fragments.
